The brief

MotoProf sells motorcycle spare parts and accessories – from its own warehouse and from suppliers, through its own site, marketplaces, by phone and wholesale to dealers. A parts buyer’s first question is “will this fit my bike?”, so we built the store around fitment. Visitors pick make, model and year and see only the parts that fit their motorcycle, or search by OEM code. The real work sits behind the shopfront: stock and prices for more than 18,000 parts from 49 brands are read from the suppliers’ sites every day without anyone lifting a finger. The site, the dealer portal and the warehouse draw on one stock, and the marketplaces are ready to plug into it too. Accounting and invoicing stay in KolayBi, through a ready-built connector. The store is live at motoprof.com.tr.

Approach

Three decisions that shaped the project.

  1. 01

    Motorcycle first, then the part

Search, categories and product lists are filtered by the selected motorcycle, and the product page says plainly whether the part fits it. OEM codes are also stored stripped of spaces and dashes, so “5TA-12111-00” and “5TA1211100” find the same part.

  2. 02

    Suppliers are tracked automatically

A bot written for each supplier reads stock and prices every 24 hours. The selling price follows the supplier’s recommended price, or a margin rule where there is none. Changes apply on their own; unusual jumps and prices that would fall below cost wait for approval in the panel.

  3. 03

    One stock, one order flow

A single Fastify API with transactions in PostgreSQL means site and dealer orders draw from the same stock: the last item cannot be sold twice and a dealer’s credit limit cannot be spent twice. Marketplace orders are designed to take the same path. iyzico, the couriers and KolayBi each sit behind their own adapter, so replacing one leaves the rest untouched.
