The brief

Zenta Travel runs walking and vehicle day tours in Istanbul, multi-day trips with hotel stays in the Marmara region and a transfer service. For a company selling tours to local and international visitors, the website is less a showcase than a sales channel, so we built it around online sales. Visitors search for tours by location and date, see each tour’s duration, price and any discount right on the card, and add it to a wishlist or straight to the cart. Prices can be switched between Turkish lira and euro. Tours are grouped by location under Istanbul, Türkiye and Marmara, and the blog feeds these pages with Istanbul guides and trip preparation tips. Partners get their own account type and a partner page. It runs on WordPress, WooCommerce and the Traveler theme.

Approach

Three decisions that shaped the project.

  1. 01

    From location to tour

Tours sit in location layers such as Türkiye, Istanbul, walking tours and vehicle tours. Every layer has its own page, so the moment a visitor is drawn to a route, every tour in that area is in view.

  2. 02

    Everything needed on the card

Duration, price, discount and rating appear on each tour card, so visitors can compare tours without opening them.

  3. 03

A sales flow that ends in the cart

Bookings go through the WooCommerce cart and become orders. The currency switcher lets international visitors see prices in their own currency.
